Employment History

Brett commenced employment with Edwards Marshall in 1993 where he worked for five years in the areas of audit, litigation support and insolvency.

In 1998 Brett joined Santos Limited where he worked in a variety of roles in Finance and Operations Planning. He held senior roles as Team Leader Production Allocation and Manager Finance Eastern Australia Business Unit, the role he held immediately before returning to Edwards Marshall in 2009. On 1 August 2011 he was admitted to the partnership of Edwards Marshall.

Specialist Areas

Brett has almost 20 years experience in the provision of accounting and assurance services. Brett’s role as Manager Finance at Eastern Australia Business Unit offered a variety of tasks in the oil and gas exploration and production industry.

During his employment at Santos, Brett undertook project team roles as part of Santos’s Oracle Ili ERP implementation and 2003 organisation restructure. In addition Brett undertook project manager roles for two major IT projects centred on production and greenhouse data management capture and gas nominations and contracting.

The production allocation leadership role was responsible for Santos’s hydrocarbon accounting as well as providing data for greenhouse and environmental reporting.

Brett has diverse knowledge of the accounting industry with a wide range of expertise in audit, IT systems and major projects, greenhouse data management and reporting litigation support and insolvency.
